Contacts can be added to lists individually, in bulk, or via import.
Note: New contacts created while managing lists will be added as a Sakari contact, whether manually or via CSV import. Any attributes updated during list management will update the Sakari contact.
From Contact Card
Click on the Contact record to open their Contact Card.
To add to list
- Select the + icon and select the List you want to add the contact to
To remove from list
- Click the x next to the list name on the contact
From the main Contacts view
You can utilize this option to select contacts to bulk add to list.
- Click the checkbox to the left of the name to select contacts.
- Click the 'Add To List +' button
- Select the list to which you want to add contacts
Via CSV Import
Contacts can be added to a list via CSV import as well.
- Create or select a list
- Once in the list, click the
icon
- Click to upload or drag your csv file
If starting a new list from scratch
- Click Create
- Choose from Import CSV or Add Manually
- Import CSV will open the CSV import drawer
- Add Manually will open a new contact creation drawer

Requirements
Please check the following before uploading your CSV file:
The file has the following two mandatory columns:
- Mobile: the phone number you wish to send the message to.
- Country: the 2-character country code of the number you wish to send the message to (e.g. if you are sending to an American number, type "US")
and:
- You're uploading a CSV (not XLS or XLSX) file
- You have already created Custom Attributes in Sakari to receive information from any columns (additional to the Core Attributes) of data that you want to upload

Column Mapping
When uploading a CSV, map your columns using the drop-down menu.
This mapping is important for any Custom Attributes (dynamic fields) you want inserted in your message text.
